Uganda Jobline – New Features

Hello,

There have been many improvements to www.ugandajobline.com over the past weeks – some of them immediately obvious, and others may have slipped un noticed. We like to keep you up to date with these changes, so we’ve outlined the major changes below. So settle in and read for the full scoop.

Once you are done, we imagine you’ll have some thoughts about one or more of the changes. As always, we encourage you to share these thoughts with us, so that we can continue to improve and provide a powerful recruitment platform for jobseekers & employers within and outside Uganda.

New Features.

  • Multi-level categorization of jobs.
  • Front page display of featured jobs.
  • All jobs can be can be viewed in brief and descriptive formats and multiple pages. In the brief format, the job title, post date and company are displayed while in the descriptive format the Job title, Job role, experience level, educational qualification, salary, descriptions and company
  • A job seeker may create a job alert which will notify him immediately a job matching his/her criteria is posted on the website.
  • A job seeker can save a job he/she is interested in for future reference.
  • Apply for jobs online in real time. Jobseekers can apply for any job that has been posted on the website. They are however required to have a resume filled out and a cover letter.
  • A job seeker can create up to 5 resumes depending on the type of job they are interested in. In order to apply for a job, a job seeker is required to have his/her resume approved. This requires payment of an annual subscription fee. When the resume is approved, it can be accessed by employers who can then contact the jobseeker directly.
  • A jobseeker can also mark his/her resume confidential. This feature hides the job seeker’s contact address from the employers. It may be used by jobseekers who are already employed and may not wish to be discovered by their employers that they are looking for jobs.
  • Expiry of Jobs. Jobs which are posted on the website are not deleted when the application deadline expires. This is to enable the jobseekers to have a point of reference when they are invited for interviews long after the job has expired.
  • Employers can post jobs on the website free of charge. They can also mark the jobs to be displayed permanently on the front page, highlighted and bolded.
  • Employers can receive applications from jobseekers for all the jobs posted on the website. The employers can make their selections immediately.
  • Employers can also search the resume database using a variety of search criteria.

Hey,i use this site a lot but im one of those who ask myself why it was changed.
1.I find the new template too crowded and quite a workout to find out what i need to.
2.So many odd buttons do not an interesting site make
3.I have always failed to use your search function.
